Nathan James is looking for an Inventory Manager to join our team that will help support the company’s growth by building and leading the inventory management division.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You’ll be responsible for directing the Inventory Management division within the Operations function at Nathan James.  This division is responsible for forecasting, purchasing and inventory planning & control for both existing and new products. You will need to ensure that the company meets its KPIs of annual inventory turns and order fill rate. 


A big part of this role is being a leader. You will lead and grow the Inventory Management division in order to support the company growth. You will develop efficient procedures and work with our technology team and our Head, Operations in order to simplify operations. With the help of our technology team, you will work on continuously improving our internal inventory management/demand planning reporting system. 


During training, you’ll be expected to be proactive in your process and learn quickly. Once fully up-to-speed (2-3 months), you will have full ownership of the Inventory Management division. You will be beginning the hiring process of the first position in the division.

ABOUT YOU: 

 


You have a deep understanding of forecasting and inventory models.  You understand how to apply basic distribution models to actual sales data creating adaptable and accurate projections.  You have a passion for pattern recognition, a gift for extrapolating data to fill gaps, and an interest in optimizing ordering/inventory systems.


Must have direct experience with managing inventory levels and forecasting for a company dealing with multiple e-commerce retailers. We would also like to see 5+ years experience in inventory control, forecasting, procurement, scheduling, and/or material planning. 


For this position, you will be expected to be the driving force behind the Inventory Management Division; therefore, you should have 2+ years of managerial experience and a passion to improve the work experience for those that work within your division as well as interdepartmental interactions.  


You will need to be comfortable handling large data sets and working with an ERP system.


For this role we do require that your normal workday has at least 4 hours overlap with the Eastern Standard Time workday (currently UTC-5) without impinging on your personal/family life.
