AIM Mid-Senior Data Engineer

We are working with multiple clients based in Minneapolis including Fortune 10 healthcare companies, international medical device manufacturers, and Fortune 100 retail/ecommerce organizations to provide advanced data engineering for their projects.

Most immediately, we are beginning a multi-phase data platform modernization project to consolidate existing reporting solutions into well governed, extensible data assets than can be leveraged across data product teams. MBM would like to leverage AIM to help lead and deliver modern data solutions that align to the organization's EIS standards. This project is set initially at seven months, but will inevitably be 1+ years.

This work includes:

• Design and development of data solutions to migrate and extend existing models from Azure SQL to Snowflake


• Design and development of a test automation framework to be incorporated into data solutions


• Analysis of Optum enterprise capabilities vs custom solution components as new enterprise capabilities become available. Initial solution components to be considered include:




• Enterprise Data Catalog


• Data Protection as a service


• Data Movement as a service




• Analysis of existing master data management solution and extending or replacing as needed to support systems integration of common domains across various systems of record (singular data store)

MUST HAVES:

• Experience with modern data warehouse development (Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Databricks, or another similar MPP platform)


• Experience in public cloud solutions design and development (AWS, Azure, or GCP)


• Experience with DevOps automation (Terraform, Jenkins, or similar)


• Experience with container workload automation (Docker compose, k8s, or similar)


• Experience with script automation (Python, bash, or similar)


• Proven experience in training and empowering others through collaboration, documentation, and pattern based solution component design and development


• Proven experience in enterprise level data architecture and ELT solution design

NICE TO HAVES:

• Experience with Azure cloud


• Experience with Agile tools and project methodology


• Experience with Snowflake


• Experience working in a highly secure, process controlled environment
