Mediavine Senior Data Engineer

Mediavine is a growing and completely remote company, and we are looking for a senior-level Data Engineer to help build and maintain our data infrastructure. In this role, you can expect to work with our existing team to create scalable data pipelines, to manage transformation processes, and to continue scaling efforts for our existing data warehouse.

We are looking for someone with extensive experience building large-scale, highly available applications to join our enthusiastic and experienced engineering team team. If you are excited about working with new technologies you will be a great fit.

Requirements

Knowledge And Skill Requirements

• 5+ years experience working with application development


• Familiarity with modern ETL tool sets


• Familiarity with Data warehousing solutions like Amazon Redshift


• 2+ years experience building applications with AWS or other cloud providers


• 2+ years experience building distributed applications


• Advanced knowledge of SQL and relational databases


• Optimization of data pipelines and applications


• Ability to lead and mentor other developers


• Expertise in Ruby, Python, or Javascript (Node.js)

Essential Functions

• Build core infrastructure that powers our applications and Business Intelligence team


• Create ETL applications that interface with multiple 3rd parties


• Create internal applications that empower your colleagues to be more efficient


• Work with our DevOps/Infrastructure engineers to deploy and scale applications on AWS


• Mentor other developers and help grow our team knowledge of data processing and warehousing


• Occasional travel required
