What you’ll do
You'll be a part of an Agile development team building a native Android application. You'll be a senior engineer implementing projects, enhancements, and fixing defects, but also asking awesome questions to iterate on designs, requirements, and implementations. You'll work closely with our integrated QA team to ensure our product is reliable, usable and simply awesome. You'll write lots of code, even more tests, and sometimes even write your own back-end service APIs when the need arises. You'll also be supported by a stellar team ready to help you build the best communication tool available to emergency technicians, doctors, and other caregivers.
What we're looking for
This position requires:
Several years of demonstrated professional Android application development experience.
Experience programming in Kotlin. If you're not using Kotlin professionally, then you've at least tried it at home.
Extensive knowledge of the Android SDK and build chain.
Keeping up with the news and changes in the Android community. Help drive the direction of our mobile architecture by applying best practices for Android development that you learn from your peers.
A passion for programming, software, process, languages, frameworks. You’d rather be writing code.
Empathy for our customers and the patients they serve.
Attention to detail and a penchant for delivering diligent, thorough work.
An ability to clearly communicate technical work. Your PRs are nicely broken up and have written descriptions about what they accomplish.
A commitment to quality.
Bonus points for:
BS or MS in Computer Science.
Experience with Kotlin multiplatform, RxJava, Retrofit, OkHttp, Robolectric, Espresso
Experience with various mobile analytics tools, crash reporting, beta deployment tools like Fabric.
Experience with the Material Design framework and components.
Full-stack development experience with databases, API, web apps, or DevOps. We don’t like silos at Pulsara, so there are opportunities to work on more than just Android.

The position is open in Bozeman, MT. Our preference is to have you working at the office with the rest of the team, however, all of our processes and tools are online and support working from home.
