Tymeshift Software Engineer - Schedule Optimisation

The Basics:


Location: This position is to be filled either in Lisbon, Portugal or Novi Sad, Serbia, so we welcome applicants based in one of these countries (Remote to start; return to the office when safe to do so)
Interview Process: 2 hours, not including the practical test part.
Reports to: Yevhen Popenko, Tech Lead.


Your mission at Tymeshift:


Develop, improve and help us have a great Schedule in Tymeshift. You will work on new features, while collaborating closely with our Tech lead, Engineering, and Product teams.


What we're looking for:


Previous Experience



  • Experience working as a Senior software engineer in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; SaaS team experience is a plus

  • Good knowledge of Search, Optimisation, and Meta-heuristics (Tabu search, Genetic algorithms, etc.)

  • Go Lang experience is considered a plus ( Julia, Python as well)

  • Experience with international collaboration & distributed teams

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • No degree needed, soft skills* are the degree you need

Responsibilities



  • Develop Scheduling algorithm

  • Develop new features and improve our Schedule

  • Close collaboration with the Engineering team

  • Suggest and initiate improvements



How we'll measure success


Your ability to implement new and improve existing solutions in order to build the scheduling solution that will serve our customer's needs.
