Assistant Professor/Assistant Lecturer

The Interactive Media Studies (IMS) program at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio (http://www.miamioh.edu/cca/aims/) is searching for an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) or Assistant Lecturer (non tenure-track) in Design / Development or UX. IMS is an extremely unique and interdisciplinary program with faculty that hail from a large number of different disciplines and coalesce around the intersection of Design, Technology, and Business. It can sometimes feel more like a thriving tech start-up than an academic department. IMS has been teaching interactive digital media since 1995, and has grown to around 900 current students. Due to this high demand, we’re looking to hire a full time faculty member with expertise as a Designer / Developer or in UX. The position can be tenure-track with appropriate qualifications (i.e., a PhD or MFA in a designer-developer related field by date of appointment.). It can also be full-time, non-tenure-track with a Master’s degree in a designer-developer related field or with documented extraordinary post-baccalaureate experience in a designer-developer related industry. More information is available at http://aims.digital/
