Head of Web Design

Carpe is looking for a 15hr/wk web designer (graphic design and implementation into front-end code), and we're hoping that it's you!

Carpe is a fast-growing startup that's bringing effective sweat solutions to millions of people who previously had to put up with sweaty hands, feet, and other body parts - our products are already in CVS, about to launch in Target, and are among the leading antiperspirants on Amazon.

As an online-first company, we want to bring our customers beautiful, intuitive shopping and educational experiences on our website. We've gotten to where we are with an amalgamation of freelance work, but we've outgrown that option - right now, we need a consistent person to evolve our website design, from the home page through the checkout pages to our interactive educational experiences. An excellent design ability that will work with and grow our current brand style is a must, as well as the experience with CSS and JS necessary to bring the design visions to life.

The relevant parts of our stack that you'll be working with are Ruby on Rails for the website, and FoxyCart for the checkout system - though particular system familiarity is not a must, and can quickly be learned assuming you have thorough CSS and JS experience.

At Carpe, you'll be able to work from home or wherever is convenient, but you'll be working closely with our head developer Alan, and me (Kasper, cofounder) to build smooth, well-executed experiences for our customers.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you, and for both of us to discover whether you're the right partner for Carpe!
