VP Product Design/Design Director

Rho is a tier-1 VC backed company that's out to change the world of consumer banking for good. We’re looking for a Design Director to join our founding team and help build & design Rho’s consumer offering. The role will oversee all design & user experience functions within the business. We need someone who can contribute a compelling and enriching vision to our business and help our clients feel rewarded, safe, and smart when using Rho. We expect you to help recruit, manage, and inspire talented designers who join us on our journey as we scale and grow, as well as contribute hands-on in our early days while we’re still a small group. As a leader, you persistently believe there is a better way to solve problems and utilize your best-in-class knowledge to apply or invent novel solutions that do so.

What we're looking for on your CV:

Experience leading OR contributing to a start-up or enterprise with massive scale;
Experience in hyper-growth consumer environments;
Experience designing complex systems and interactive user experiences;
Public speaking experience within design forums;
Evidence of attracting world-class talent to your teams through contributing to public discussions;

Skills

Ability to collaborate with engineers in design direction and implementation
Quantitative analytical skills/experience with various analytics platforms (amplitude, GA, Looker, etc)
Technical proficiency with Figma, Framer, Sketch, AfterEffects, or related design technology stacks
Front-end coding experience with React or javascript system is highly recommended for application
