Geomagical Labs Android Mobile App Engineer (remote)

Geomagical Labs is building an exciting mobile application for millions of users, combining advancements in 3D photography and cloud AI. We are looking for an imaginative Android engineer to create beautiful and engaging applications that use the camera and networked AI services in magical ways.

Ideal candidates will have strong engineering foundations, a track record of building compelling UI experiences on Android Smartphones & Tablets, and a passion for cool technology and engaging aesthetics.

This role is open to remote candidates in North America or Europe, or in-office work from our offices in the San Francisco Bay Area or Amsterdam. Candidates must be able to work 3 hours of a Pacific Time day to effectively collaborate with engineers in California.


Responsibilities:

  • Implement consumer facing features for our flagship app
  • Prototype new experiences in close collaboration with our design team
  • Develop and maintain high quality networking components
  • Contribute to the UX/UI of our flagship app
  • Contribute to the architecture of our flagship app
  • Learn about AR and native 3D technologies (Vulkan) on Android
