DevOps Team Lead


JOB SUMMARY:


Be part of a fast moving, lean product development Organization, supporting the Lone Wolf family of Applications. Deliver reliable, scalable new automation and tooling features to the Lone Wolf Brokerage. Work with the Development and Product teams to deliver Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery across all Lone Wolf Product lines.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:



  • Lead Team of DevOps automation experts

  • Build and mentor team of DevOps Engineers focused on improving the development life cycle by understanding the applications and creating efficiencies in the pipeline

  • Create a best-in-class team in Hybrid and multi-cloud environment

  • Establish tools that will drive efficiencies

  • Choose and implement an orchestration platform, self-service tools for development staff, an IoC platform, and a messaging platform

  • Track quality and fallout for each deployed environment, from Dev through to Production

  • Provide analysis and insight into operational efficiencies gained from increase of automation

  • Provide analysis of new tools and process to add to overall development efficiencies


Skills & Requirements


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • 7+ years of building automation

  • Experience with tools such as K8, Ansible, Terraform

  • Experience with RabbitMQ and Solace

  • In-depth understanding of network concepts and security practices

  • Some background in an infrastructure role, Server, Network, Storage, etc

  • Proven ability of leading other, either formally or informally

  • Experience working for a high growth SaaS company

  • Agile, lean, or similar development methodologies/experience


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:



  • Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and tools

  • Ability to code and script

  • Experience with systems and IT operations

  • Comfort with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment

  • Strong grasp of automation tools

  • Data management skills

  • A strong focus on business outcomes

  • Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders

  • Coding or scripting

  • Process re-engineering

  • Communicating and collaborating with others

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) a plus

  • Self-motivated and able to work in a small team with minimal supervision

  • Desire to deliver the best solutions for the need

  • Ownership of any output delivered

  • Ability to justify decisions made within the code being delivered and use data to drive decisions
