Technical and architecture-focused role rather than pure leadership

Help establish best practices for AI/ML lifecycle management in Databricks

Support MLOps team (Eric's team, 45 days into maturation)

Address gaps in MLOps services and platform capabilities

Focus on designing for scale and speed rather than perfection

Enable faster execution of new AI use cases and projects

Can work near-shore with travel possibilities

Can complement future director once hired (within next 60 days hopefully)

Avoids team confusion of temporary leadership changes

Decision: Prioritize AI Platform Architect (near-shore) over on-site Director position unless a "killer" on-site candidate becomes available
