Detroit Lions
The Detroit Lions are seeking a motivated and independent intern to complete a football-based quantitative research project. This is a remote, part-time, paid internship structured as an educational and professional development opportunity. The internship will require approximately 15 hours of work per week for 10 weeks, and will include regular check-ins with the project lead and project milestones.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Passion for the game of football
- Intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm for answering questions with data
- Strong quantitative intuition and skills
- Ability to build statistical models in R or Python
- Coursework in statistics and/or machine learning
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality.
- Self-directed, proactive, and able to work independently
- Interns must perform all work from within the United States. The work location will be treated as the internâs physical location.
- Employment is at-will and may be terminated by either the intern or the organization at any time, with or without cause or notice.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
**Work Environment:**
This is a remote internship. Interns are expected to maintain a safe and distraction-free work environment. The organization recommends that interns establish an ergonomic workstation. Interns are encouraged to take regular breaks and to report any discomfort related to their work setup.
