Senior Manager / Director of eCommerce

We are seeking a growth-oriented and data savvy eCommerce leader to join our growing marketing team as our Senior Manager / Director of eCommerce. (Exact title will depend on experience). The job responsibilities are as follows:

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop long and short-term eCommerce strategy to deliver sales and margin targets

  • Manage all online activity in relation to traffic acquisition, sales, conversion and site testing and reporting

  • Work with brand team to develop brand and messaging to attract and retain customers

  • Manage 3rd party vendors (agencies, consultants) related to eCommerce acquisition, retention and conversion

  • Work with VP, Marketing to develop and manage budgets related to 3rd parties, paid media, marketing technology and team

  • Partner with external 3PL and internal operations team to improve fulfillment capabilities

  • Work with company founders and VP, Marketing to develop and merchandise optimal product assortment in order to optimize conversion and improve user experience

  • Develop and execute on pricing and discounting strategies

  • Tracking of competitors and sales comparison data

  • Manage new product set up, launches and ongoing promotions

  • Own effective merchandising across the site, including: product assortment, product presentation, product information, product page optimization, cross-selling and up-selling, product groupings, testing, and targeting

  • Utilize Google Analytics, Heap Analytics, Hotjar and additional reporting tools to analyze effectiveness of eCommerce and merchandising activities

  • Review onsite behavior to constantly optimize onsite performance by merchandising the products to drive conversion

  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships to add additional revenue streams

  • Analyze and report on broad set of web and Amazon KPI’s to internal stakeholders

About You

The ideal candidate has 5-8 years of experience driving online revenue streams (both web and Amazon) across the eCommerce funnel: acquisition, retention and CRO. eCommerce is one of our fastest growing sales channels, so we’re looking for someone who is excited and up for the challenge of driving that growth. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-growth, entrepreneurial environments and can manage day-to-day details while also leading overall strategy.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in eCommerce management and digital marketing

  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis via Excel/Google Sheets, SQL preferred

  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Paid Social, Influencers, Paid Search, Google Shopping, Amazon Seller Central, Amazon Ads, Display, Affiliates and SEO

  • Understanding and familiarity with key metrics in DTC including LTV, CAC, AOV, CR, ROAS, etc.

  • Excellent understanding of attribution modeling, website speed optimization, A/B testing, conversion management, sales journey optimization, traffic analysis and reporting tools

  • Excellent understanding of web design and analysis, including UX and CRO best practices

  • Team player who also thrives working independently

  • Adept left/right brain thinker who can see the forest through the trees/connect the dots

  • Track record of taking ownership and driving results
  • Experience with premium replenishable CPG (esp. in skincare and/or green beauty) is a plus
